There are a wide range of options available to adult learners across North East Lincolnshire.

Courses are designed to fit around the busy work schedule or home lives of the adult learner.

Distance Learning

If you want to develop new skills and gain a qualification, but are struggling to fit it in around your life. Grimsby Institute offers a range of courses that can be undertaken via Distance Learning. We have courses in a range of health and social care disciplines as well as Customer Service, Business admin and Team Leading. All courses are FREE subject to satisfactory completion.

Functional Skills

If you want to improve your English and Maths skills, but have no time to attend classes. Community Learning Services (NELC CLS) can help by providing training in the workplace tailored to your individual needs.

You can work towards a Functional Skills qualification up to level 2, giving you the practical skills required in everyday life, education and the workplace.

Many choices are available to you. If you are already a volunteer, have you considered a volunteering qualification - formalise your experiences and gain a valuable qualification into the bargain.
