Overview
If you are passionate about animal care or animal science and are looking to progress onto university or work in the animal care industry, then this course is for you.
Equivalent to 2 or 3 A Levels, year 1 is a standalone qualification where students will either work towards the Advanced Technical Certificate or the Advanced Technical Diploma in Animal Management, subject to GCSE grades.
In the second year you will move onto the Extended Diploma, there are two options. One option consists of 12 units over the 2 years, whereas the other is 18 units over the 2 years. The course is made up of theory and practical elements, with the hands-on aspects of the programme taught within the College's purpose built animal care centre.

Entry requirements
Ideally at least 5 GCSEs at grade 9-5 or A*-C including English and Maths or a Level 2 qualification, but this is subject to discussion at your interview. If you haven't already achieved a GCSE grade 5 or grade C in English or Maths, then you will study either GCSE or Functional Skills English or Maths alongside your other qualifications.
