Overview
Completed over 1 year if you opt to do the AS Level, or 2 years if you opt to study the A Level. English is attractive to both employers and universities. This fascinating course will introduced you to a wide range of literacy texts that have inspired many generations. Set texts include: The modern collection: Poems of the decade / classic poetry collection, the dystopian sceince-fiction novels, Never Let Me Go and Frankenstein, plus A Streetcar Named Desire and a Shakespeare play. Throughout the course you will develop important analytical and communication skills that will help to develop your understanding and enjoyment of films and books.

Entry requirements
Ideally at least a GCSE grade 5-6 or GCSE grade B in English, but this is subject to discussion at your interview.
