Employability Support for Adults

Building Better Opportunities (BBO) brings together funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund. The fund aims to tackle poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged people in the Humber region and drive local jobs and growth for those aged 25 and above.

The Skills Hub has access to a Building Better Opportunities Adviser who supports delivery partners in the area to achieve the aims of the project.

Building Better Opportunities Keyworker can offer:

  • One-to-one befriending support over a period of time to help overcome the problems that prevent you accessing local services, jobs, training or learning opportunities.
  • Support with how to apply for jobs (application forms, preparing a CV, covering letters, interview skills/techniques).
  • Arrange inclusive activities, such as coffee mornings and similar events to promote social inclusion.
