In addition to the academic support on offer at Tollbar MAT Sixth Form College, we provide a comprehensive programme of pastoral support. This includes financial support that students can apply for in order to assist them with the costs of their studies. Throughout their Sixth Form journey, students benefit from the support of a Head of Year, a personal tutor, peer mentors, a student council, a careers advisor, highly experienced teaching staff, and the wider Sixth Form Leadership Team.
Also running alongside our academic timetable is a comprehensive tutorial programme, themed to respond to the needs of our 16-19-year-old students. The programme consists of a structured series of tutorials, working seminars and guest presentations, exploring a diverse range of critical issues including mental health, alcohol use, study skills, careers, personal finance and online safety. Our aim is not only to prepare our students for A Level success, but also to enable them to make better decisions in all aspects of their lives.
